OTM Fulfilment has won the prize for best fundraisers at the Bristol 'beat the banana' event.

OTM Fulfilment has won the prize for best fundraisers at the Bristol 'beat the banana' event.

Earlier this year, staff at OTM Swindon took part in a fun run held by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK), called 'beat the banana'.

Coinciding with 'Fruity Friday', one of the charity's annual awareness campaigns, it offered the chance to race against an athlete in a banana suit.

OTM raised over GBP300 in sponsorship, a figure that was matched by a charitable donation from OTM chairman and founder, Peter DeHaan, bringing the final donation figure for WRCF in excess of GBP700.

WCRF UK awarded OTM Fulfilment a juicer for its contribution to the campaign.

Lisa Cooney of WCRF UK, said: "We hope OTM enjoys using the new juicer - a nice fruit smoothie will go down well after lunch time walks.

We would like to thank all those at OTM for their continued fundraising support, which is fantastic and very much appreciated by everyone at WCRF UK." Four members of staff from OTM Swindon took part in the race and there were over 150 members of OTM staff, family and friends who sponsored the race.

The runners were manager Rod Kerr, account managers Catherine Crowe and Angela Kane, together with print procurement manager Keith Roberts.

The 'banana' completed the run in an athletic 25 minutes and the last runner from team OTM completed the course in a respectable time of 58 minutes.
