Paperw8 is a single screen software that runs on Mac or PC and is supplied on CD for GBP50.

It will also be available from January as download software with the launch of Outsourced Projects' new website.

Stephen Matthews, Outsourced Projects' managing director said: "Paperw8 is one of those tools that everyone in the print industry needs, yet almost nobody has.

For years the act of working out the weight of a printed job has been shrouded in mystery and until now, only available through expensive management information systems." He continued: "Paperw8 allows anyone, in any size printing company, whether large or small, to accurately work out the weight of a printed job in seconds - ensuring that transport and courier costs are neither under-charged, or over-charged ever again.

And at GBP50, it can pay for itself in a day - perhaps even on one job." The launch of Paperw8 after Outsourced Projects entered the print MIS market with Printuitive, a cross-platform, print management system designed specifically for the smaller printing company.

The company added that beta testing of the system has been conducted within the industry.

Paperw8 is included as a standard item in Printuitive version 2.0, which will be supplied as free upgrade to all existing Printuitive users.
