The company said that prior to DRACI, newspapers used manual paper based systems of printing up delivery routes and recording the number of papers delivered and picked up each day.
In its opinion, that tracking method often leads to redundant or inaccurate data entry that is slow and costly to enter in to circulation system software.
Because DRACI automatically tracks information on daily delivery and returns collected, newspapers can depend on reliable information for setting draw levels and reporting to ABC for circulation audits.
By allowing users to obtain vital business information needed to make production and delivery business decisions for the next day, DRACI eliminates waste and reduces over-production costs, claimed Paragon.
Additionally, the mobile hand-held device is said to be easy to use, taking advantage of colour-coded screens and features a touch screen, allowing for easy system navigation and on-screen signature capture.
Used in conjunction with Windows CE.NET/VB.NET, users can load an entire day's route and conveniently print various reports and receipts.
The open system architecture is said to allow for customisation to a client's business rules and connectivity to any circulation software.
