Bitstream will debut its next generation Pageflex software for variable data, Web-to-print, online design and editing, and cross-media publishing at GraphExpo 2006 in Chicago, Illinois.

The new product, named simply Pageflex, will be available for demonstration in the Bitstream/Pageflex booth #4846.

Also featured in the booth will be Bitstream's Pageflex Storefront and Persona Cross Media Suite software, customer case study presentations, and several new integration and business partners.

Next Generation Product Launch Bitstream's next generation Pageflex product brings all of its existing Pageflex software functions together into a single, well-integrated, modular application that provides clear growth paths for customers as their variable data needs expand.

The release also includes several new features, including: robust scalability, load balancing, and failover protection for server clusters; enhanced interactive online design and editing interfaces; print production automation features, including paper tray switching, job batching, and cut and stack and step and repeat imposition; powerful document manipulation capabilities for advanced users; and other enhancements that make the product more efficient and easier to use.

Booth Highlights In addition to Pageflex demonstrations, Bitstream will show the latest version of Pageflex Storefront, its powerful solution for creating and managing web-to-print document customization sites through an easy to use Web-based interface.

Personal Cross Media Suite, which incorporates robust variable data and cross media functionality found in other Pageflex server-based products into a desktop application, also will be available for demonstration at the booth.

The Bitstream/Pageflex booth at Graph Expo will feature an enlarged theater in which attendees are encouraged to attend hourly presentations.

In addition to product demonstrations, the theater schedule will feature Pageflex customers presenting their own case studies.

These will demonstrate how printers, marketing services companies, and advertisers use Pageflex technology to communicate more directly with customers and prospects, grow their business, drive revenue, and benefit their bottom line.

For the first time at a tradeshow, the Bitstream/Pageflex booth will host representatives from two new integration partners DirecType and The Software Marketing Association.

DirecType software enables users to incorporate variable text - names or messages - into photographic images for high impact personalisation of direct mail, posters, postcards, e-cards, mouse pads, and other personalised documents so that they attract more attention and produce higher response rates than common advertising media.

This image personalisation software is a product of Deutsch Technologies , a leading provider of direct marketing technologies for digital printing, web, and cell phone applications.

Software Marketing Associates are the developers of the PRO-MAIL System.

The PRO-MAIL system enables users to better manage their fulfillment service and direct mail projects.

"GraphExpo is always an exciting show for us, and this year is no exception".

"The debut of our next generation Pageflex product, is a significant development for both Bitstream and the variable data marketplace".

"Finally, one application can meet the needs of a wide range of users - for today and into the future," comments Anna Chagnon, President and CEO of Bitstream".
