The relationship has developed after a range of catalogues using Pindar's Agility content management software was produced.

Pindar's Agility Catalogue Management System was chosen in 2003 by Testo, which manufactures and distributes measuring equipment, to simplify its complex catalogue production processes.

Testo made the decision to implement Agility after being faced with a number of problems with its old system, such as managing the translation and language versioning process and updating existing documents, particularly when textual changes occured.

Agility's architecture has enabled Testo to work efficiently with partners and suppliers, using the same content source, said Pindar.

The system makes it possible for the team at Testo to manage and publish their highly technical product data in a very effective way, added the company.

Testo can update its own product information, along with instructions to specify which products are to appear in each catalogue.

Moreover, the system has made it possible for Testo to publish different versions of catalogues in multiple languages for its global customer network.

The specialised content management systems are said to be critical for any multi-site business that depends on the effective and punctual publishing of product information.
