D and AD, the professional association and charity for the design and advertising communities, has released its annual review.
McKie has an printing industry career, extending over 35 years and was formerly managing director of both St Ives Direct and St Ives Blackburn.
Fellow director MacGilp's most recent roles included a period as contracts director at the Adare Group, along with being a senior account director at print management company Williams Lea.
In addition, MacGilp has 20 years' graphic arts and paper industry experience.
The UK-based business will provide such services as strategic contact support, supply chain sourcing and development, and operational improvement services.
In addition, elements such as interim placement will also be offered.
McKie said the business had been established after recognising the changing dynamics of the print industry and the need for the provision of specialist management services on short term business critical projects.
At the same time McKie said the two partners had also recognised the current skills shortage being experienced by the industry.
"With the services and experience that our business can offer, we will aim to provide the skills that allow clients breathing space to source the best services for their businesses through our interim placements," said McKie.
As part of its business enhancement offering, MacGilp said Perdiccas can not only provide training in sales, customer services and operations but can also provide manufacturers with support in gaining the necessary accreditations required by key current and future clients.
