Colour proofs are essential tools in the communication between client, designer, photographer, publisher and printing houses, according to Perfectproof Europe.

With the increased digitalisation and the rapid growth of CTP, it is more important to have immediate access to accurate proofs throughout the entire workflow, said the company.

That is why Perfectproof said it now offers GATF certifiable proofs, that accurately simulate the final off-the-press product on cost-efficient large format inkjet printers from main manufacturers such as Epson, HP and Canon.

The Proofmaster RIP software is claimed to match the profile of the press with that of the inkjet printer providing a certified guarantee that the proof mirrors exactly what will be on the final production in terms of colour, fonts, image-formats and imposition data (1-bit).

The company said that as part of its global expansion plan, it wants to build up its proofing software and media programme in the USA, Canada and Latin America.
