Quen Baum, who has successfully managed A B Dick's business in the UK for 10 years, has been appointed managing director for Presstek-Europe.
As such, Baum is responsible for the operations of Presstek's European dealer network as well as its A B Dick UK operation.
Ray Hillhouse, who has served in various sales and management positions at A B Dick UK over the past 15 years, has been appointed managing director of A B Dick UK, reporting to Baum at Presstek-Europe.
A B Dick UK will continue to represent the company's operations in the UK, and will be adopting a new corporate image to reflect its new ownership and direction, said Presstek.
Quen Baum commented: "This is an exciting opportunity to move Presstek's business forward in Europe, as well as enhance the support of our already sizeable customer base from a European headquarters.
The rationalisation of our operations' resources in the UK positions us well to expand our coverage as the new Presstek-Europe, as well as further the business of A B Dick UK.
Since partnering with Presstek in the UK market two years ago, A B Dick UK has become one of Presstek's largest European distributors and gained important product knowledge and experience.
With Presstek-Europe we will now be able to use that knowledge and experience to expand our coverage across Europe." Presstek president and chief executive officer Edward J Marino said: "We are delighted to be able to strengthen our European focus under Quen's leadership.
We already have a strong distribution network in Europe and will now be able to offer more in terms of technical, sales and marketing, and logistic support from the UK.
In addition to Presstek's current team of sales managers and technical support specialists, we intend to strengthen our sales and technical team in Europe to offer an increased level of first line assistance to our distributors and partners for both our DI press and Dimension CTP lines of business.".
