Aurora thermal chemistry-free plates are compatible with FM screening and are designed to take advantage of maximum Platerite platesetter throughput with no degradation in quality.

Once plates are imaged, a water wash is claimed to be all that is required prior to mounting plates on press.

Aurora plates are 100 per cent chemistry-free, no chemical processing, baking, or gumming is required, resulting in savings in time and materials, claimed the company.

Michael Fox, the vice president of sales at Screen USA, said: "We have been very pleased with the results delivered by the combination of our Platerite platesetters and Presstek Aurora chemistry-free thermal plates in our field testing over the past year.
