Presstek has appointed Brian Mullaney to its board of directors.

Presstek has appointed Brian Mullaney to its board of directors Mullaney is a founding director and president of The Smile Train, the world's largest non-profit cleft lip and palate surgery organisation, which enables 15,000 surgeons and medical professionals in 55 countries, including the USA, to provide free surgery to children suffering with cleft lip and palate

The Smile Train also sponsors major research projects that are searching for a way to prevent clefts.

Prior to becoming President of The Smile Train, Mullaney worked for more than 20 years in advertising.

He was founder of Schell Mullaney Advertising, a high-tech marketing agency, which was sold to CKS, a publicly-held interactive advertising agency.

He has also served as senior vice president and creative director at J Walter Thompson and vice president and creative director at Young and Rubicam.

Mullaney earned a bachelor's degree in business economics from Harvard University.

Presstek's Lead Director John Dreyer said: "We are delighted to welcome Brian to the board.
