Presstek Appoints New Production Chief
James W LaRue has been appointed as vice president of worldwide manufacturing and supply chain at Presstek.
LaRue will direct the development and implementation of operational and production goals to address quality and efficiency objectives and will report directly to Jeff Jacobson, president and chief executive officer, said the company He will also plan and implement all initiatives related to inventory planning, quality control and customer service and he will also develop processes and systems to improve material efficiency and streamline procedures, added Presstek

LaRue has joined the company after serving as general manager of global SAP programs and global supply chain leader for Eastman Kodak and the is said to have a strong supply chain and operations management background.
He has also worked as vice president of supply chain for Kodak Polychrome Graphics and for OKI Data Corporation as well as previously having worked for Johnson and Johnson in addition to serving in the US Navy.
Presstek said that LaRue has received certification in integrated resource management and production and inventory management from the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
He also has a BA in business administration from the University of Oklahoma (USA).
