Presstek exhibited its printers at the On Demand Russia Conference and Exhibition in Moscow, 18 - 21 November.
Presstek was represented by its Russian distribution partner, Comline, which showcased Presstek's automated 52DI digital offset press, which is suitable for on-demand colour printing.
The 52DI landscape digital offset press operates at a print speed of up to 10,000 impressions an hour with a maximum sheet size of 520 x 375mm (20,000 A4 pages an hour).
The 52DI offers waterless printing and on-press chemistry-free platemaking.
That combination translates into higher quality and less overall waste.
On-press imaging ensures precise registration and fast run-up.
The DI's ability to go from file to sellable material within 20 sheets provides fast turn-around with less make-ready waste.
The DI digital offset presses can print on a range of substrates from 0.06 to 0.5mm thick.
The system provides up to 300 lines an inch (120 lines a centimetre) printing, as well as stochastic (FM) screening without incurring additional time or expense.
Alexey Ivanenko, president of Comline, provided keynote presentations during the show.
