Large format print and systems provider, Perfect Colours has added the new HP Designjet Z3100 photo printer to its product portfolio.

Large format print and systems provider, Perfect Colours has added the new HP Designjet Z3100 photo printer to its product portfolio.

HP's new eight-ink Designjet is said to be the first ever to be embedded with a spectrophotometer, enabling the printer to automatically generate custom ICC profiles for preferred papers in less than 20 minutes.

The new printer is said to produce prints that are water resistant and remain unchanged for up to 200 years.

The result is based upon tests in progress at the Wilhelm Imaging Research Institute using HP light-fade testing on a range of HP creative and speciality papers, producing large format (610mm to 1,117mm) prints and concept proofs with accurate and consistent colours.

Perfect Colours said it has secured a zero per cent finance package for purchasers of its large format printers and imaging systems and that includes the new HP Z-series, the recently launched UV signage printer HP DesignJet 9000 and the large format printer-copier-scanner, the HP Designjet 4500mfp.
