Wide Format Print RIP Wins European
Award
After an evaluation over 12 months of performance quality and price ratios, the best RIP solutions for wide format 2007 award has been won by Posterjet.
The prize is judged and presented by the European Digital Press Association (EDP), an association of magazine publishers from across Europe that has leading publications for digital printing and associated products The latest Posterjet 7.5 version for Mac and PC is RIP software for processing large format print jobs - including posters, displays, placards, large photographs, maps and technical drawings

Large Format HP Digital Printer And Stacker Launch

The design of the program interface is claimed to enable access to the program functions of Posterjet 7.5 from a single main window.
Practical keyboard shortcuts and complete drag and drop support optimise the simplified operation, added the company.
Posterjet 7.5 is now available in standard and specialised editions with optimised functions to meet a range of large-format printing needs.
In addition, the latest version provides enhanced capabilities to improve colour matching, increase productivity and add more project flexibility, it is claimed.
It is compatible with many of the large format printers available, such as Canon and HP, including the new HP Designjet Z6100 series, which is also an EDP award winner in the wide format printer up to 1.6m category.
The EDP publications cover 12 European countries with a combined circulation of approximately 80,000 with the readership exceeding 160,000 graphic arts personnel.
Evaluation of the award winning products is based on 12 months of performance quality/price ratio, efficiency, design and ease of use, amongst other considerations and by a technical committee made up of independent consultants, editors, engineers and people from other related disciplines.
