Pharma Finishing has purchased an additional Wohlenberg 115 guillotine completed with a Baumann flowline.

Pharma Finishing has purchased an additional Wohlenberg 115 guillotine completed with a Baumann flowline.

The new guillotine provides for extremely good visual display, and a very efficient auto-makeready system for programming repetitive cut sequences using a deep pile cut and fast action blade.

Figures suggest that using a full paper handling system - as opposed to just a standalone guillotine - improves an operator's performance by up to 88%.

In this instance, the additional cutting capacity is crucial since the company produces up to 10 million folded leaflets per week.

The Baumann system is also important from a health and safety perspective: with mechanical pile hoist, jogger and unloader, as well as air tables for easy movement of paper stacks, operators have a minimal amount of lifting to perform.
