To realise low energy and service costs with a new Arkle Print has installed a PIAB Vacuum and Blow System (PVBS).
Suction Cups Solve Paper Feeding System Downtime
New suction cups fitted to a Muller Martini feeding machine have eliminated repeated loss of production time at print finisher Bertex Mail in Helsingborg (Sweden).
Automation specialisation is offered by PIAB, assessing bottlenecks in production and providing systems that address challenges, such as improved reliability, control and a better work environment.
Demonstrating claimed shorter start-up times, lowered energy consumption and minimised production stoppages, the PIAB will display the Vacuum and Blow System (PVBS) and P6010 pump with the PIAB Cruise Control (PCC) option.
Also to be exhibited will be the Vactivator vacuum-handling cylinder, featuring automatic stroke control that makes it suitable for high-speed applications, such as paper and blanks feeding, added PIAB.
Featuring COAX, the vacuum systems are said to allow for precise paper handling throughout the printing process with exact vacuum flow management.
COAX technology is claimed to offer the graphic industry a smaller, more efficient and flexible technology that allows for the design of a modular system.
PIAB utilises COAX in many of its products and systems, and it is integrated in to the body of manufacturing machinery with multi-stage cartridges.
PIA added that designing a fully de-centralised system with the latest in vacuum technology allows for fast, reliable response with less consumed energy.
