Sheffield digital printer Pinders has shown how to stay cool in an emergency, turning around advertising overnight for two regional UK companies.

Sheffield digital printer Pinders has shown how to stay cool in an emergency, turning around advertising overnight for two regional UK companies.

Pinders rushed to the aid of 'The Walnut Club' restaurant in Hathersage after its owners found its window had been smashed.

Replacement of the toughened glass panel was estimated to take two weeks due to the lengthy processes involved but Pinders used existing artwork from promotional material to print a new billboard to replace the shattered window.

Overnight, Pinders created a 2.2m x 1.5m PVC sheet, printed with UV cured acrylic inks to provide a secure answer to the emergency, without losing vital front of house advertising.

Richard Mills, the managing director of 'The Walnut Club,' said: "We were delighted with the speed that Pinders was able to respond and produce high quality finished print overnight." And in a second rescue mission, Pinders helped re-brand the ballroom and reception area of Sheffield's new landmark Macdonald St Paul's Hotel for a one-night event, without disturbing in-situ artwork for the 'Cue Ball' charity event.

Working with Sheffield City Council, Pinders created 'The Cue Ball' branding with a purpose-made framing system, designed to slot over the hotel's existing 15 pieces of artwork, retaining all in-house fittings and branding.

David Whiteway, the joint managing director at Pinders, said: "We put our new digital flatbed printer to great use to provide a quick, high quality, affordable response to branding the event venue and help to raise the profile of 'The Cue Ball'.

I'm just so pleased we were able to come to the rescue of two really high-profile local companies in their hour of need.

Hopefully we can aid many more companies like them in the future.".
