Digital Printer Rescues Two Firms In Emergencies
Sheffield digital printer Pinders has shown how to stay cool in an emergency, turning around advertising overnight for two regional UK companies.
The five 'band members' are called Moo, Blue, White, Red and Cherri and even have their own fan site and songs.
Now Pinders has produced cardboard cutouts of the cult figures on behalf of designers Alldread Burgess, for use in Vauxhall showrooms in Sheffield, Chesterfield and North Derbyshire.
Last year Pinders invested more than GBP300,000 in two new specially imported print and cutting machines.
The Vauxhall cutouts are the latest of several print jobs carried out on the new machines, added the company.
The Vutek superwide format digital printing press allows Pinders to produce full coloured, finished, weatherproof graphics directly on to virtually any surface up to two metres wide for projects including packaging, display boards and point of sale material, it is claimed.
A six metre square specialist Esko cutting table means prints can be cut, routed, perforated or creased in to any shape, said Pinders.
David Whiteway, joint managing director of Pinders, said: "The Vauxhall C'mons are certainly one of the more unusual jobs we've been asked to carry out but they do highlight Pinders' capacity for bespoke printing of all shapes and sizes.".
