Sheffield digital printer Pinders has shown how to stay cool in an emergency, turning around advertising overnight for two regional UK companies.
Originally built in the late 1800s, the hall has been the cornerstone of the town for more than 100 years and the project to transform it will see the building reclaim its prominence.
The conversion will create three floors of design and craft shops, studio workspaces, a large exhibition area and an event centre, which will enable people to go shopping and see social events and performances all under one roof.
The Civic Hall will also contain Barnsley Council's new Community Information Service, the main reception area for customers seeking to access council services.
Pinders graphic panels were produced using their VUTEk wide format digital print technology.
The machine allows Pinders to produce full coloured, finished, weatherproof graphics directly onto virtually any surface up to two metres wide for projects including photographic backdrops, vinyl banners, packaging, display boards, construction industry boards and point of sale material.
David Whiteway, Joint Managing Director at Pinders, said: "Barnsley Civic Hall is a highly prestigious South Yorkshire regeneration project to be involved in and further showcases our ability to produce high quality, large format graphics for almost any purpose.".
