The 2007 Variable Data and Personalisation Conference, which will run from November 4 - 6, in Phoenix, Arizona (USA) will feature a keynote presentation by Steve Cone.

Epsilon's executive vice president of strategic marketing services, Cone works with clients in all industries to design, implement, measure and optimise multi-channel marketing programmes, said PIA/GATF.

Cone is said to have a reputation for developing programmes that drive results, strengthen brands, and deepen customer relationships by communicating targeted messages across a spectrum of media.

Jim Workman, vice president of training for PIA/GATF, said: "Cone offers a deep understanding of why a company needs to market itself and create an identity to succeed in today's competitive world.

He has the ability to deliver pearls of marketing wisdom in a no-nonsense, witty style with the candor you'd expect from an old friend.

This keynote offers plenty of ideas that are worth stealing." The VDP Conference, now in its sixth year, is said to help printers plan strategy and learn about new approaches, applications and technologies surrounding the increasing use of variable data in client campaigns.

This year's event is organised in to three tracks.

Firstly, according to PIA/GATF, printcentric is a track for firms relatively new to variable data, whilst cross media is a track for more advanced practitioners.

Meanwhile, the business track focuses on sales, marketing, and performance-related issues.

Breakout sessions were chosen by those interested in digital and variable data printing via personalised URLs or PURLs.

Visitors will also have a choice of attending several case studies in which companies share the details of their variable data applications, added the organiser.
