Lifetime Achievement Awards Nominations Call

A PIA/GATF product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Oct 15, 2007

Nominations for the Lewis Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award to be presented by Printing Industries of America and the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) will close on November 15.

PIA/GATF said it is seeking to honour a business leader who has exceeded the minimum standard of performance to become a significant force in the graphic arts industry.

Nominees must be recognised as having made a major impact on the graphic arts industry, whilst having a record of participating in local and national professional activities and being active in different facets of the industry over an extended period.

At the same time a nominee cannot be an employee of any graphic arts association.

The nominee need not be a member of the PIA/GATF and the award is not limited by age, sex, race, or geographic location.

Nominees may be living, or dead and past recipients are ineligible to win again.

According to PIA/GATF, the Lewis Award, which was established in 1950 is recognised throughout the graphic arts industry as the highest honour awarded to any individual in the trade.

Past recipients have included Ray Roper, Harry Quadracci, Gaylord Donnelley and Harold Gegenheimer.

The recipient of the Lewis Award will be honoured at the PIA/GATF presidents conference from March 2 - 6 2008.
