New Centre Helps Printers Achieve Colour
Accuracy
The Printing Industries of America and Graphic Arts Technical Foundation has formed its Centre for Colour Management to assist members with colour management and production colour controls.
According to PIA/GATF, the centre provides consulting, training, publications and case-study evaluations of international print standards and printing reference conditions The association said that printers recognising the power of colour science, technology and integrated systems consistently increase colour accuracy and repeatability amongst various digital and printing media devices, whilst also reducing production waste

Conference Helps Firms Adopt Variable Data Print
PIA/GATF's Variable Data and Personalisation Conference from November 4 - 6 in Phoenix, Arizona (USA) will feature an expanded array of topics.

Their combined experience of over 50 years in colour science, integrated colour control systems, process control, and manufacturing can help guide members through the colour management process.
The Centre is housed within PIA/GATF's Sewickley (USA) production facilities, which utilise a collection of workflow components in digital and print media production from pre-press through to press and post-press operations.
The PIA/GATF Centre for Colour Management is said to provide content and expertise for the PIA/GATF Colour Management Conference, which is held in Phoenix (USA) each December.
The conference focuses on advances in photography, proofing, commercial print, packaging and speciality areas of colour management.
In addition, the centre presents workshops, such as 'Success with Stochastic and HiFi, 'Printing to International Standards and Specifications' and 'Colour Management for the Pressroom'.
