Outsourced business solutions provider Pitney Bowes Management Services has been awarded the contract to handle the print and reprographics requirements of Luton Borough Council in the UK.

Outsourced business solutions provider Pitney Bowes Management Services has been awarded the contract to handle the print and reprographics requirements of Luton Borough Council in the UK.

The contract, worth GBP 700,000 a year, will run for an initial 10-year period, with 17 staff employed.

Pitney Bowes' Orchard Fields Technology Centre in Hemel Hempstead will be used to provide a variable data printing service for Luton Borough Council and, additionally, Pitney Bowes staff will work alongside council employees to develop a reprographics service within the Town Hall complex said Pitney Bowes.

Ashley Bailey, managing director of Pitney Bowes Management Services, commented: "This solution will ensure the council provides a first class print and reprographics service that is both competitive and cost-effective.

Our understanding of the council's objectives has been developed over the last two and half years and we have now developed a true partnership relationship." Peter Watson, the corporate director for corporate and customer services at Luton Borough Council, said: "The council is happy to work in partnership with the community and the private sector where this can help us to deliver better services to customers.
