Pitney Bowes has elected Leslie Abi-Karam executive vice president and president of Document Messaging Technologies (DMT).

At the same time, Lisa DeBois has been elected executive vice president and president of Pitney Bowes Global Financial Services (GFS) whilst Vincent DePalma becomes executive vice president and president of Pitney Bowes Management Services (PBMS).

The company has also appointed Patrick Keddy executive vice president of Pitney Bowes International, and Neil Metviner, becomes executive vice president and president of Pitney Bowes Direct.

Other senior appointments include Michael Monahan as executive vice president and president of Global Mailing Solutions and Services and Kevin Weiss, is executive vice president and president of Mailstream and for the Americas for Global Mailing Systems.

All seven will report to Murray Martin, the company's president and chief operating officer.

Martin commented: "All seven of these individuals lead businesses that are vital to achieving our growth strategies.

Collectively they will help shape our participation throughout the global mailstream and deliver enhanced customer and shareholder value." Keddy was appointed president of Pitney Bowes International in January 2005 and has responsibility for all Pitney Bowes lines of business in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.

His appointment added PBMS International and Asia Pacific region to the responsibilities that he had held for the previous six years.

He was named president of Pitney Bowes Mailing Systems in Europe, Africa and Middle East in September 1998.

During his time in that position, the business grew three-fold to become a significant part of Pitney Bowes global operations, said the company.

Prior to joining Pitney Bowes in 1989, Keddy worked for 13 years with British Gas, where he held sales, marketing and operations positions of increasing responsibility.

He holds a BS from Aston University in the UK, where he studied marketing, economics, accounting and law.
