Pitney Bowes, has finalised the sale of an Advanced Productivity Series (APS) inserter to the K2 Group as a result of exhibiting at Ipex 2006.

The APS Series is described by Pitney Bowes as a high speed, high productivity letter inserter for the high integrity transactional mailing market.

The inserter is said to be capable of cycling at speeds of up to 22,000 envelopes per hour and operates with the Pitney Bowes Direct Connect software.

The documents produced within K2 Group's Kritikal Division are secure transactional and compliance communications, which, where required, carry highly targeted marketing messages on bills, statements, cheques, HR documents and other security correspondence.

Kevan Coleman, chairman of the K2 Group, commented: "Accuracy, integrity and a comprehensive electronic audit trail are vital in providing us with the ability to track and trace every document and provide 100 per cent reconciliation.

The introduction of additional APS technology with direct connect features will provide this level of reliability, whilst facilitating high levels of output." He added: "The K2 Group has been using automated document factory disciplines for the last 10 years, whilst working closely with Pitney Bowes to develop and refine cutting edge technology and improved productivity.".
