The Pitney Bowes Comet Series inserter has been developed for the accurate processing of medium to high volume applications, for 'intelligent' mail handling options, claimed the company.
Direct Mail Inserters' Ease Of Operation
Pitney Bowes, the mail and messaging specialist, has launched the Fastpac Inserting System DI900 and DI950, designed to maximise the impact of mail communications.
The system's universal transport base provides the framework to support a variety of mail finishing needs, including custom printing, label affixing and stamping, said Pitney Bowes.
The EFS' printing components are claimed to help businesses to produce mail pieces that get opened more frequently.
Address blocks can be printed directly on to affordable, windowless envelopes for increased confidentiality, security and impact.
And personalised touches, such as logos, variable return addresses, address blocks and messages can be added on demand.
By eliminating the need for pre-printed envelopes, the EFS system is said to help reduce the cost to create and manage multiple types of envelopes.
EFS also enables thorough scanning integrity, providing an automated view of mail pieces as they run on high-speed inserting systems.
This automation reduces manual quality checks, further boosting productivity, added the company.
Designed to scan images over the envelope during inserter finishing, the scanning system can read, match and check sequencing of human readable characters, barcodes and 2D symbols to ensure accurate fulfilment.
Used in conjunction with Pitney Bowes' Direct Connect file audit processing, production runs can be compared to print file information and documents that need to be pulled from production can be automatically removed.
