The Pitney Bowes Comet Series inserter has been developed for the accurate processing of medium to high volume applications, for 'intelligent' mail handling options, claimed the company.
Direct Mail Inserters' Ease Of Operation
Pitney Bowes, the mail and messaging specialist, has launched the Fastpac Inserting System DI900 and DI950, designed to maximise the impact of mail communications.
The company added that Streamsure automates lightbox, text and data testing for interactive side-by-side validation, as well as batch testing for full production runs.
It is also claimed that, unlike other testing products, Streamsure can compare output from two disparate print streams (metacode to AFP, for instance), as well as being able to extract and validate data from dynamic print stream output (AFP, metacode, DJDE, and line data).
Pattern recognition enables Streamsure to test documents that are visually very different, such as when a new bill or statement design is implemented.
Users save the patterns as templates by dragging-and-dropping and build a rules file to accept, or reject exceptions that match the templates.
Pattern recognition, along with user-defined confidence thresholds, automates a variety of testing scenarios that alternative methods alone cannot address, added Group 1 Software.
Andrew Greenyer, vice president of international marketing at Group 1 Software, commented: "With Streamsure our customers can ensure that their documents are customer-ready before they are printed.
Streamsure reduces the risks and exposure of migrating business and document composition systems and significantly reduces the time and effort required to test complex document applications before production.
In addition to the operational efficiencies, the software has the potential to reduce ink and paper wastage.".
