Picon Carries Banner For 44 At Drupa

Forty-four companies, representing many sectors of the printing industry, will be exhibiting under the Picon banner at Drupa 2004 in Dusseldorf in May.

Forty-four companies, representing many sectors of the printing industry, will be exhibiting under the Picon banner at Drupa 2004 in Dusseldorf in May.

Of these companies, six will be new to export, with a further seven companies new to the exhibition.

No fewer than 13 exhibitors in the group will be entering segments of the market for the first time.

As a leading support organisation for the graphic arts industry, Picon is an accredited group organiser with UK Trade and Investment, the government organisation for providing assistance for exporters, and as such was delegated the task of managing the distribution of export grants for eligible exhibitors.

Most of the companies exhibiting on the Picon-assisted stands will benefit from the grant, which will help towards the cost of space and construction of their stands.

Picon's membership straddles all sectors of the industry and places it in the perfect position to lead a delegation of exhibitors displaying products used in digital input, image processing, printing, converting, packaging, labelling and publishing.

John Brazier, Picon chief executive, said, "Our accredited group organiser status allows us to offer support to small and medium size enterprises in all sectors of the printing industry, and we are pleased that so many of our members are able to benefit from the grants we have been able to negotiate, particularly since this type of sales and marketing activity can pay handsome dividends in the long term.".
