UK Trade and Investment has awarded Picon the highest possible standard of quality and performance for the management of the British group of exhibitors at Drupa 2004.

UK Trade and Investment has awarded Picon the highest possible standard of quality and performance for the management of the British group of exhibitors at Drupa 2004.

Forty-four companies exhibited under the Picon banner at Drupa in Dusseldorf (Germany) last May.

Of those companies, six were new to export, with a further seven companies new to the exhibition.

Thirteen exhibitors in the group entered segments of the market for the first time.

John Brazier, Picon chief executive, said: "We are delighted to have achieved this recognition, which endorses the breadth of experience we bring to assisting exporting companies before, during and after events.

Our accredited group organiser status allows us to offer support to small and medium-sized enterprises in all sectors of the printing industry and we are pleased that so many of our members were able to benefit from the grants we have been able to negotiate." Picon is currently assisting companies looking to exhibit at a further eight international and specialist sector exhibitions during the remainder of 2004 and 2005 in Russia, Singapore, China, Sweden, Belgium and Italy.
