Picon has been awarded UK government funding to aid new export companies intending to exhibit at Polygraphinter, the largest printing exhibition in Russia.

The exhibition will take place in Moscow from 10-16 October, 2005.

New exporters or companies with limited knowledge of the export market are encouraged to join Picon - the support organisation for suppliers and manufacturers of the printing, publishing, papermaking and packaging industries in the UK - as part of its British Group at the show.

The opportunity is available to both Picon members and non-members and eligible companies may also receive financial support of up to a maximum of GBP 1,600, subject to certain criteria.

Paul Evans, the business development manager at Picon, said: "This is an exceptional opportunity for companies who are seeking to exploit the export potential in this market.

Russia is a vast and developing marketplace and Polygraphinter will provide an excellent opening in to this region.

We are delighted to have been successful in our bid for further funding, which will enable us to support businesses interested in expanding their knowledge of the export market, and develop new business opportunities in Russia.".
