Plastiscene the plastics printing specialist has produced a sample swatch to illustrate its capabilities in UV litho printing on a variety of plastic substrates.
This is a new development for Plastiscene as a licensed printer with MetalFX, the developer of the universal process and spot metallic colour system.
Plastiscene believes that it is a particularly exciting development for the packaging industry, enabling the use of a completely new process that can achieve a spectrum of metallic colours.
The CD packaging has been designed by Atomic MK, Plastiscene's sister company and will be used to promote the MetalFX brand.
Jennifer Deacon from Plastiscene said: "We're delighted to have received the confidence of MetalFX and to be one of the first plastic packaging printers to use this technology.
It's an exciting time for us and I'm sure that packaging designers will be equally enthused once they see the limitless opportunities there are for producing multiple metallic shades on plastic.".
