Production Software Boost For Indian
Sub-Continent
Prism Group and S L Kulkarni Cyril Graphics have agreed an exclusive sales, distribution and support deal for Prism's production management software and hardware, QTMS, in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
QTMS IQ is the latest version of QTMS, which is claimed to provide press, bindery and finishing count control, as well as plant-wide workflow and pallet control IQ is available as a stand-alone production management system with job planning and machine loading functions

Stevens Graphics, the third-largest directory printer in the USA, has installed the first Prism-QTMS iQ system in the country.
Prism said the system can also be integrated in to an management information system, or it can operate with the Prism Win management information system (MIS).
The IQ product was a winner of the 2007 'Must See 'Em Award' and all Prism MIS products support the JDF specification.
Filip Buyse, Prism's president and chief executive officer, commented: "The Indian sub-continent is a strong print market and expectations are that it will continue to grow.
It represents a growing market for QTMS because of the workflow efficiencies the local printers are seeking.
S L Kulkarni Cyril Graphics is a respected representative of Goss International and the company has many customers throughout India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
We are pleased that they have chosen QTMS over all other production management software." And Surendra Kulkarni, the joint managing director of S L Kulkarni Cyril Graphics, added: "Since we personally know the major printers and publishers in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal, we feel confident of marketing QTMS products in our area.
Those printers and publishers continue to streamline their manufacturing operations for better profitability and QTMS can help them significantly reduce their paper costs and cycle times." According to Prism, S L Kulkarni Cyril Graphics began serving the printing industry in 1981 and the heritage of both companies is important to the success of the partnership.
QTMS's open, XML-based API is a strong asset and S L Kulkarni's and Cyril D'Souza's experience with web printers will help ensure that QTMS is marketed to the proper users.
