A French specialist in material and techniques for temporary architecture called Procedes Chenel International has launched Drop Net, a brand new fire-retardant inkjet substrate with square stitch.

It is available in two weights, depending on the degree of transparency required: 115gsm with a 42% opening of stitch and 180gsm with a tighter, 22% opening stitch.

In use, the material is suspended and weighted down by an aluminium tube in a sewn hem or stretched out on a frame.

Applications are envisaged in screens, sign displays, indoor and outdoor settings.

Digital inkjet printing is possible with aqueous or solvent inks.

The company is seeking international partners to extend its international network.
