Strong Sales For Newspaper Workflow Software
Proimage has announced strong third quarter sales for Newsway, its browser-based automated newspaper production workflow software.
According to the company, some of the financial and environmental benefits of Newsway are already being realised by the newspaper and include a reduction of waste from plates, newsprint and ink, as well as improved productivity.
Dee Dee Gober, the information technology director at the Visalia Times-Delta and Tulare Advance-Register, said: "Newsway was very easy to learn and understand.
It also consistently runs without problems.
We wish all vendors operated the way Proimage does as it would make other projects much easier to complete.
The company's technical and sales support is really excellent." David Sutton, the newspaper's operations manager, explained: "We find the fan out, automated page pairing, page viewing and reporting features particularly valuable.
Newsway has consolidated a number of different people in different areas in to one person in one area and this has allowed us to allocate human resources to other projects." Rick Shafranek,Proimage's vice president of sales in America, commented: "We pride ourselves on developing industrial strength software for the needs of newspapers of all sizes.
The sophisticated features of Newsway address the highly complex needs of newspapers publishing multi-edition, multi-zone publications.
However not every publisher needs that sophistication, so why buy features you don't yet need? Because Newsway is modular it is also perfect for smaller newspapers with more limited requirements, such as the Visalia Times-Delta and Tulare Advance-Register and the software can always be upgraded if the need arises.".
