Firms Team Up To Create Newspaper Digital Workflow
Polkadots Software has signed an OEM agreement where ECRM Imaging Systems will take on the Newsflo system to create the Workmates News digital workflow system for newspapers.

- Automated Page Pairing: Tabs, Broadsheet, Mini Tabs and Quarter Folds; NEWSflo Intro has fully automated and database driven page pairing for newspapers with creep, web-width reduction from 1up to 16up.
The package ncludes extensive activity logging and reporting.
- Proofing: All NEWSflo workflows include the ability to output pages and pairs directly to any laser or inkjet printer or plotter.
No need for any options or expensive third party software.
- Intelligent Load Balancing: As with all NEWSflo solutions, NEWSflo Intro offers intelligent load balancing.
Not only will jobs be distributed between multiple output devices but also NEWSflo will automatically ensure that all separations of a job are output on the same device.
NEWSflo's Color Locking will also notify users if a plate needs to be remade but the device last used for that separation is not available.
- Input via Hot Folders or Watch Folders: PDF, PS, PDF/X-3, PDF/X-1a TIFF, EPS, DCS and DCS2 compatibility is standard.
Users can also just simply print from their favorite native applications.
- Outputs: 1-Bit TIFF to any CtP or CtF accepting 1-Bit TIFF or direct to any supported CtP or CtF (Interface kit sold separately).
