Firm Prints Climate Report In
Environmental Way
UK B1 printing firm the Polar Print Group, has produced The Corporate Climate Communications Report 2007, a study of climate change disclosures by the Global FT500.
With an initial print run of 10,000 copies, the 55-page report, printed on 9 Lives 55 Silk, with Forest Stewardship Council logo endorsement, was published last month by Corporate Responsibility Reporting Awards organisers, the CorporateRegister.com The Corporate Responsibility Reporting Awards 2007 are said to be the first global independent awards for corporate responsibility reporting

Manchester City Football Club is to become the first club in UK football to produce an environmentally-credible matchday magazine, after a three-year printing contract with Polar Print Group.
Polar Print Group, of Leicester (UK) sponsored one of the awards - for the best integrated report - and was amongst 120 companies from around the world that met in Berlin (Germany) for the awards event, which was part of the Ethical Corporation's Corporate Responsibility Reporting Summit.
Polar Print Group's managing director, David Gask, said: "Polar is passionate about its printing responsibly stance and in going beyond just the 'green' environmental concerns, we have adopted a highly integrated approach to social, ethical, financial and environmental goals.
Therefore, it seems fitting that we should be sponsoring the award for Best Integrated Report." The awards included nine categories covering a range of themes, such as best carbon disclosure, best first time report and best report.
Winners included Novo Nordisk, BP, Bayer, BMW, Coca-Cola Enterprises and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.
