Synapse Upfront users can now purchase extra copies at discounts, following a decision to introduce a loyalty scheme by Creo and implemented by UK distributor Positive Focus.

The loyalty discount scheme brings Upfront in to line with existing offers on Preps and Pandora and consists of a 35 per cent discount on full versions of Upfront and a 20 per cent reduction on Job Builder modules, for users who already have one full copy of Upfront, which includes both Planner and Job Builder modules.

Upfront is a key component in a JDF enabled workflow, taking job intent from a compatible MIS system and producing a checked and working imposition.

Users regularly report significant savings through more consistent layouts and reduced imposition errors making it to press, said Positive Focus.

It is said to tightly integrate with Preps imposition and holds a database of press and bindery parameters, against which it checks its output, producing annotated diagrams and Preps templates.

Upfront 4.0 was previewed at Print '05 in the USA.
