Imposition Software Puts JDF Admin Link In Reach
"It brings the JDF link from administration to production within the reach of everyone," Alan Dixon, technical director of Positive Focus commented when introducing Preps 5.1 from Creo.
Positive Focus will be demonstrating Alphapicture on stand 410 at Digital Print World and in the company's series of forthcoming personalisation open days.
Alphapicture is said to provide customised images that can be used in personalisation projects for e-mail, web or print delivery.
In contrast to other software, Alphapicture is a managed service, with the customisation, including development of any specialist fonts and alphabet requirements being handled by I-clue's resident personnel, said Positive Focus.
Ivor Dixon, the managing director of Positive Focus, said: "It is an ideal solution for the many digital printers now starting to venture in to personalisation.
Without any up-front cost, they can have very professional images and effects at a known price, delivered in any quantity.
They can use their normal variable data software to control the image placement, as it is completely open software.
They do not have a steep learning curve to cope with but they can now compete alongside the larger operators, by offering the effects that have been impressively obvious in major marketing campaigns." Gerhard Martterer, the founder and chief executive officer of I-clue, said: "In this age of information overkill, pictures with personalised text messages say more than a thousand words.
They appeal to emotion and that's flattering a consumer's ego.
That's the way we generate the highest response rates.
We are generating an average of 40.000 Alphapictures each day on our Letter James web site.
They are delivered as e-card, postcard and posters to customers all over the world.
That's over a million images a month, with each one unique.".
