Visitors to stand 04-F22 at Ipex will be able to see a range of Primarc's medium pressure mercury arc lamps and electrodeless microwave bulbs.

New developments that will be shown at Ipex in conjunction with OEM Nordson UV have lead to the introduction of a 1,500-hour lamp guarantee on all standard Quadcure lamps.

In addition to a range of medium pressure mercury arc lamps, Primarc will also display its extended series of spectrally enhanced metal halide versions.

Metal halide lamps are mercury vapour lamps with metal halide additives that create specific wavelengths of ultraviolet radiation to precision-match the photo-initiator being cured.

Said to be suitable for all known UV curing systems, all Primarc UV curing lamps are manufactured from high-clarity, vitreous silica, normally referred to as quartz, said the company.

Quartz has the property of high-transparency to ultraviolet light, particularly at the shortwave end of the spectrum where over 90 per cent of the UV energy generated is transmitted through the quartz.

The electrode components ensure long and reliable lamp life and all lamps are manufactured within the scope of Primarc's ISO 9001:2000 registration, added the company.
