Sheffield (UK) print production house, Proco has announced its affiliation with Hewlett Packard's 'Go to Market' strategy.

Sheffield (UK) print production house, Proco has announced its affiliation with Hewlett Packard's 'Go to Market' strategy The announcement coincides with the recent installation of the HP Indigo 5000 digital press and will allow Proco to improve its offer to the three growth markets suitable for that service - web driven on demand collateral production, manual production where on demand printing and print durability are strong features and photo related applications

Proco believes it will be able to offer digital marketing services that are capable of merging creative and technical briefs for the agency market and companies operating in customer relationship management (CRM) initiatives, direct marketing and data capture.

The affiliation between Proco and Hewlett Packard follows Proco's move to a new 53,000 square foot facility that will accommodate the new digital press and marketing division.

It will also facilitate the three new Roland litho presses the company has bought, all of which are now fully functional and which will allow the company to improve its fulfilment capabilities.

Proco has also undertaken a rebranding exercise that includes a new name, fresh identity, website and internal and external communication material.

There will also be recruitment drive in the near future.

Andy Middleton, the commercial director of HP Indigo Digital Press EMEA said: "Proco is dedicated, highly skilled and creative and has become ever more successful due to its commitment to customer relationships and investment in the most effective and efficient back end presses.

We are delighted to have strengthened a strategic relationship with one of the print industry's biggest rising stars and we are pleased to support Proco with our expertise and knowledge in the digital area and wish to congratulate it on its expansion initiative." Graham Congreve, Proco's director of sales and marketing, commented: "The digital print and direct mail market is one of substantial growth whose needs are becoming ever more complex due to the creative potential of the platform.

The technology, support and expertise provided by Hewlett Packard in this area allows us to offer solutions that help agencies in this sector to improve its creative capabilities for their clients.

We look forward to increasing and furthering our relationships in this area to help deliver projects that hitherto were not able to realise." Jon Bailey, Proco's head of digital added: "We have developed a very strong relationship with HP.

As our organisation has grown, as has the depth of our relationship - it's one of mutual respect.

We are both dedicated to our work and our clients, and we both believe in raising industry standards - this relationship reaffirms this.".
