Management Information System At MAN
Roland Centre
Prism Group has installed its WIN management information system (MIS) at MAN Roland's Westmont, Illinois (USA) Graphic Centre and demonstrated the system.
Prism WIN is responsible for creating the job tickets for all jobs in the Graphic Centre and capturing material, labour and machine costs through its shop floor data capture module Although the primary objective of the Westmont Graphic Centre is to showcase MAN Roland presses, printers today are increasingly looking for how their new presses will integrate in to their overall production workflow systems, according to Prism

Dickinson Press a book manufacturer in Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA) has selected Prism's QTMS IQ network shop floor data capture system (SFDC) to provide real-time information.
WIN is a Windows-based software suite comprised of discrete modules, each providing management and control for a specific process, or functions essential to the printing trade, said Prism.
There are 20 modules to choose from, all fully compatible with the QTMS Production Management System and WIN is written in Microsoft's .NET environment and is available on either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
Hal Stratton, the director of new technologies at MAN Roland, explained: "We chose to highlight our integration to Prism WIN because of our long-standing JDF connectivity.
