Gerry Sutcliffe told the meeting how much he owed to his five years in the printing industry, saying that the experience had been invaluable on his road to becoming a minister.
Tony Burke and Michael Johnson both called upon the Government to support their joint efforts, with Michael Johnson concluding: "We need to engage with Proskills.
We need to engage with Government.
We need to engage with each other to ensure that the training that we are getting in this industry is the best that it can be.".
