A PrintCity GmbH and Co KG product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Oct 31, 2007

The power of print and packaging will be the subject of what is described as a new concept to attract and inform visitors to the Printcity alliance stand at Drupa 2008.

The 'new concept' approach will focus on dedicated competence centres, a forum presentation area and visitor information areas and guidance features.

Printcity added that its objective throughout Drupa '08 will be to present joint project knowledge and research findings from the alliance.

Printcity said that its range of growing news and activities across the printing, packaging and publishing sectors, will be its focus for presentation during Drupa '08, which will run from May 29 - June 11, 2008.

The organisation will also mark its 10th anniversary during the show.

The organisation's members will occupy hall 6 at the exhibition in Dusseldorf.

Printcity said that there will be more than 30 Printcity participants at Drupa, with exhibition stands ranging from 20 square metres to 4,000 square metres.

President of Printcity, Helmut Dangelmaier, said: "The Printcity alliance has provided many new activities, projects and seminars since Drupa 2004.

Innovation areas have included new project work on brand protection and food packaging and value added printing of newspapers, amongst other projects.

Those efforts, together with work involving RFID technology and digital printing, have attracted growing interest in Printcity and its members worldwide." He added: "For Drupa 2008 we have many new projects and features for printers, packaging converters and publishers alike.

Many of those projects are new and will not be fully announced until early 2008.

We also have new ideas to attract brand owners and print buyers, so that they can see why Printcity is recognised as the window to the future in our industry.".
