Print Yorkshire is to stage a series of forums for buyers and sellers of print across the UK region next month.

"We hope as many printers, suppliers and print buyers as possible will attend these events as, from experience, we know that they provide real new business opportunities and often result in solutions to specific supply chain problems," said Mike Hopkins, Print Yorkshire's Project Director.

The first event will take place at York - May 17 at 5.30pm in the Yorkshire Air Museum, Halifax Way, Elvington - with guest speakers Andy Barton of North Yorkshire Business Link and Graham Arundell of BPIF Business Development.

It will be followed by one at Hull - May 18 at 7.30am in The Deep Business Centre - tackling health and safety issues faced by the industry with guest speakers from the Health and Safety Executive and Dale Wallis of the BPIF.

There will be a further event at Leeds - May 19 at 5.30pm in Leeds United's conference suite at Elland Road - with guest speaker Mark Fitzmaurice of management training specialists Dale Carnegie.

Finally, there will be a forum at Barnsley - May 26 at 5.30pm in Tankersley Manor, Church Lane, Tankersley - discussing local print labour market issues, with guest speakers from Sheffield First for Investment, Jobmatch, the Learning and Skills Council and South Yorkshire Business Link.
