Printyorkshire and the BPIF's second round of networking master classes designed for print and packaging company managers and directors is due to take place throughout January and February 2007 across the UK's Yorkshire and the Humber region.

The themed series, which runs through to May 2007, will cover marketing, aggregated purchasing techniques and lean manufacturing methods.

It will also explore the role of e-commerce in the sales front line and how customer relationship management can be used as a hidden sales force, as well as to help retain customers.

Printyorkshire's chief executive, Robert McClements, commented: "We responded to the challenge set by our members to reveal the secrets of successful business by planning a coordinated theme of networking sessions.

November's networking events were a sell-out so we know this new concept is working.

With these sessions we aim to provide down-to-earth and practical solutions to major issues affecting print and packaging businesses.

All attendees will receive a personal follow-up to see if they need any help in implementing the ideas offered by our experts." January and February's networking events will hear Tim Wilkinson from TWA discuss how developing a sales strategy, recruiting the right people and the role of E-commerce can benefit businesses, whilst Matthew Peacock, from Vision in Print, will be covering the topic of lean manufacturing and how, by implementing lean manufacturing techniques in to a business plan, they will enable companies to operate efficiently and reduce costs.

Both sessions are based on print industry case studies and proven techniques, said Printyorkshire.

The West Yorkshire event will be held on January 24 at Oulton Hall, close to junction 44 on the M1 motorway, near Leeds.

The Humber session will take place at The Country Park Inn, at the Humber Bridge, Hessle on January 25, whilst South Yorkshire's networking event will occur at Tankersley Manor, (just off the M1 at junction 36), Barnsley on February 1.

The South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire networking sessions all start with a buffet at 5.30pm, followed by the presentations at 6.00pm, whilst the Humber event will be a breakfast meet at 8.30am with presentations following at 9.00am.
