The Polestar Group has sold the assets of its Paulton (UK) envelope company, Polestar Select Envelopes, to direct mail business MBA.

The Polestar Group has sold the assets of its Paulton (UK) envelope company, Polestar Select Envelopes, to direct mail business MBA.

Equipment will be transferred to MBA's factory in Milton Keynes over the next few weeks, ensuring that all current orders and stock holding contracts are fulfilled.

Polestar had been reviewing a number of options for Select Envelopes, including relocation following the sale of part of the Paulton site for residential development.

The sale of the business to MBA provided the most satisfactory solution, said the company.

Mike Walmsley, Polestar operations director for special products, said: "This is the best outcome for this business as it becomes part of an established and committed envelope manufacturing group and we wish it every success.".
