The Polestar Group has produced a bumper issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.

The Polestar Group has produced a bumper issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.

Two versions of the December issue, a standard size and a travel size, were printed and perfect-bound at Polestar Chantry within the normal timeframe, in spite of each comprising 416 pages, plus a four-page cover.

Polestar account director Avril Deakin said: "Quality is always the watchword on high profile magazines such as Cosmopolitan and we were delighted to be able to maintain the high standards we consistently achieve on an issue that presented more of a challenge in terms of pagination and prestige.

Polestar is one of the few magazine printers to have the levels of capacity and flexibility in place to meet seasonal or market-driven demands." Alice Beattie, group manufacturing director of The National Magazine Co, added: "Once again, Polestar Chantry has pulled out all the stops for Natmags.

The December issue of Cosmo, with its highest ever pagination, presented the usual challenges of added value as well as an increase in volume.

The plant at Chantry has however taken it all in its stride and produced everything on time.

We are extremely pleased with the end result." The December issue represents the largest UK issue to date.

Polestar Chantry produces a number of titles for The National Magazine Co.
