Polestar Varnicoat Appoints MD

Following the appointment of David Yendole as customer service and planning director at Polestar Sheffield, Polestar Varnicoat has appointed a new managing director.

Following the appointment of David Yendole as customer service and planning director at Polestar Sheffield, Polestar Varnicoat has appointed a new managing director.

Iain Gibson, who has recently joined the group, will take up the position following a three-month handover period.

Gibson joins from Masterfoods, a division of Mars UK, where he was site director of a food manufacturing business employing 400 people.

Over the next few weeks, he will be gaining an understanding of the printing industry, in particular gravure production, as well as meeting key customers to familiarise himself with their particular requirements said Polestar.

Catherine Hearn, Polestar group human resources director, said: "We continue to recruit executives from outside the industry, convinced that they can bring certain skills, expertise and different approaches to manufacturing from other sectors that can be applied within the overall management of a printing company.
