The Polestar Group has today confirmed that on expiry of existing contracts in 2009 the production of News International supplements and magazines that they currently print will transfer to Bertelsmann Polestar chief executive Barry Hibbert said: "Polestar has already replaced the volume with new contracts from Associated Newspapers and The Telegraph Group, whose supplements are scheduled to be printed at our new gravure printing facility in Sheffield from May

That will be the largest and most modern facility in Europe; It is on-plan and will be printing its first products during March 2005." He continued: "The four years before the end of the News International contract gives us the opportunity to win additional titles, from within the UK but also from continental Europe from where over 50 gravure products are imported." Hibbert said he and his Polestar board colleagues and all those who had worked with News International, wished them well for the future and that NI would remain an important trading partner and friend of Polestar.
