Polestar Superplant Nearer With Sunday Press
Polestar Petty is to install its second new 64-page press in six months as it takes delivery in May 2004 of a four-unit Heidelberg Sunday 4000 press.
As part of the installation, use will be made of Uploader from Square's sister organisation Filetransfer.co.uk, as a means of clients delivering to the various sites without many of the issues associated with ISDN or FTP, such as logging in, passwords and locating the correct folder for delivery.
Square Group's managing director Darren King commented: "Stingray bridges the gap between ISDN, FTP and IP-IP in one unit.
Its web-based management allows any authorised user on the network to monitor progress or collect and deliver files to any ISDN or other Stingray user.
The Polestar Group has seen the value of such a product as an effective method for transferring data between its different sites and clients.".
